The Iron manager was frustrated to see two second-half goals disallowed, which he felt should have stood.

Abdisalam Ibrahim’s last-gasp effort and Lee Miller’s header were both chalked off. Leaving the Iron to share the point.

Despite the poor decisions, the Iron chief is staying upbeat as results start to turn.

Although relegation rivals Crystal Palace beat Sheffield United 1-0, leaving them six points clear of the Iron.

‘I’m disappointed and annoyed because we had two decent goals chalked off,’ he told The Iron Player.

‘I’ve just looked at them in the changing room and the linesman, when he’s given it, he’s not actually up with play so it is marginal.

‘The first one, with Lee Miller, he is well onside with his header so I’m annoyed.

‘I thought it was a very good display again today.

‘We have gone and produced for the last three games.

‘Derby had a free week and you wouldn’t have known it for me.

‘For the majority of the game we were in the ascendency.

‘I felt the lads put in a smashing performance.
