Scunthorpe are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by goalkeeper Luke Daniels in Scunthorpe’s two nil victory over Barnsley at the weekend at Glanford Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Daniels was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Daniels was in top form as Scunthorpe made it five wins from six Sky Bet League 1 games in October, keeping a clean sheet against Barnsley at Glanford Park. The Iron recorded a 2-0 win over the Tykes, with Daniels producing a string of fine saves before capping off his performance with a penalty save from Sam Winnall.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Daniels for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Luke Daniels (Scunthorpe), Chris Hussey (Bury), Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough), Michael Raynes (Carlisle), Mike Williamson (Wolves), Ryan Colclough (Crewe), Ryan Tunnicliffe (Fulham), Josh Windass (Accrington), Adam Armstrong (Coventry), Andre Gray (Burnley), Ryan Taylor (Oxford).

Manager Dean Smith (Walsall).
