Brian Laws has confirmed that Mark Duffy is contracted for next season, but he won’t stand in his way if he wants to move on.

Speaking to the Official Site Laws explained that Duffy did take up the one year extension but he remains unclear on what his future holds.

‘We still do not know anything yet about Mark Duffy. I have got to say there are one or two players that do not want to be in League Two, so I also do not want to have any players at the club that do not want to be there.’

Laws says he can understand Duffy’s reasons because at his age he should be playing at a higher level and he adds that the club have had interest from a number of Championship clubs already.

‘Hand on heart, the likelyhood is we will have to sell him, but that will mean that I will be able to utilise that money to strengthen the team.’
