Ahead of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy meeting with Barnsley, which ended with Lee Johnson’s side continuing their hoodoo over Scunthorpe, the Official Website confirmed that Terry Hawkridge had been sent out on loan again.

Hawkridge, who also had a spell away from the Iron at Mansfield last season, will be on loan with Lincoln until the New Year.

Since his arrival in 2013 the winger has made over 60 first-team appearances but he’ll not be adding to this, if he does at all, until the turn of the year as he’ll be on loan with Non-League side Lincoln until January.

With the 25-year-old not involved it makes sense for another loan spell, however you do wonder what future he has at Glanford Park under Mark Robins?

A future in the JPT is something we know we’ll not be having any longer this season after Barnsley, thanks to goals from Lewin Nyatanga and Marley Watkins saw off the Iron two-one at Glanford Park last night.

Charlie Goode’s late goal was only a consolation as Barnsley, as they had in the League Cup, ended our involvement in another cup competition!
