Sean McAllister (rib) and Gary McSheffrey (hamstring) remain absent after missing the past two games, with the latter definitely ruled out for the remaining four games of the campaign.

The biggest question Wilcox faces is whether to elevate Deon Burton back into the starting line-up as he returns from a calf injury, which would mean breaking up the partnership of the division’s top scorer Sam Winnall and £300,000 January signing Paddy Madden.

Paul Hayes, who came off the bench to score against Bury last weekend, would also hope to be in consideration for a place in the starting line-up.

Wilcox has rotated Terry Hawkridge and Hakeeb Adelakun to give them breaks where possible, but the absence of McSheffrey means they could well keep their spots on the wings unless there is a change of formation.
