Brian Laws has said he was very frustrated to see Scunthorpe squander the lead in the game against Bury.

Speaking to the Official Site following the 2-1 loss which was a huge blow to our hopes of maintaining League One status, Laws said it was really a game of two halves.

‘We saw a contrasting couple of halves for sure. The first half was scrappy, which I did expect, because it was never going to be a freeflowing game. I thought we controlled the game through to start with and dominated in good areas. How we didn’t score a couple of extra goals I don’t know. That said, one goal isn’t and never has been enough for us. We simply didn’t defend well enough as a team.’

What was worse for Laws was that when Bury drew level he saw our heads drop and fear start taking over where players began to hide from the ball and stop talking charge of things.
