The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day.

Scunthorpe United travel to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday December 26 for the game at the Keepmoat Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Stuart Attwell
Linesmen: Tom Nield and Paul Marsden
Fourth Official: Nicholas Hopton

Match Day referee Attwell (Warwickshire) has officiated one Scunthorpe game this season – the two nil victory over Barnsley in October. In that game he showed six yellow cards, four to Scunthorpe.

He has however already taken in 22 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 65 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Plymouth and Crawley on October 3 with a total of six yellows being shown. He also showed five yellows and one red in the match between Nottingham Forest and Burnley on October 20. He completed the 666 at the end of October in the above game between Scunthorpe and Barnsley.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
