The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Sheffield United this weekend.

Scunthorpe United host Sheffield United on Saturday December 19 for the game at Glanford Park and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Andy Haines
Linesmen: William Smallwood and Andrew Miller
Fourth Official: Stephen Wade

Match Day referee Haines (Tyne and Wear) has officiated one Scunthorpe game this season – the one nil victory over Coventry in September. In that game he showed six yellow cards, five to Scunthorpe.

He has however already taken in thirteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 39 yellow cards and two red cards.

He was most card happy in the above referenced match between Scunthorpe and Coventry on September 12 with a total of six yellows being shown.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
