Unless players move on Scunthorpe aren’t going to be bringing in any new players to aid their relegation battle this month.

Brian Laws, as he told the official website, is looking for some “fringe players” to move on but knows unless this happens no other movement will take place: ‘Until we actually get somebody out of the club, there is nothing we can do.

‘We’ve got to hope that there’s a club out there who wants one or two of our players, particularly the fringe ones who aren’t getting any games.

‘They will be the casualties I’m afraid because we need to move players on so we can create some revenue and bring fresh faces in.’

The Iron boss knows that such movement isn’t going to “happen over night” and as such “patience” is needed.
