To comply with Championship rules, Work on the Glanford Park Flood Lighting systems needs to under-go.

The rules state that the Lighting levels need to average 500 Lux. But Glanford Park only averages 350 Lux. Work will also take place that will give the Iron’s the option to increase the floodlights to 800 Lux, Due to new regulations that begin in 2014.

General Manager John Beeby Told the official website ‘We are carrying out some of that work now so that we’re in a position to increase to 800 lux in a more cost effective way.’

He also went on to explain how Lux is calculated ‘Readings are taken at 88 points and while any one point can be as low as 300 lux the average reading needs to be at least 500.”
