Brian Laws has praised Tommy Johnson following his extra time goal that knocked Bury out of the FA Cup and put the Iron into the second round.
The 34 year old has played for a handful of clubs including Derby, Villa and Celtic.
Laws said: ‘Tommy showed exactly why we brought him here with winner against Bury. It was a tight match, one goal was going to win it and with all his know-how and experience he’s managed to get it for us. I’m very pleased for him. He’s having to wait in the sidelines because of the form of Billy Sharp and Andy Keogh, but he can still play a big part for us, I’ve no doubt about that.’
