Scunthorpe cancel Boyes’ contract

In what seems to be a move to free up the wage bill, Iron striker Adam Boyes’ contract has been cancelled by mutual consent and the forward has now left the club.

The 20-year-old striker signed for the Iron from York City in July 2009. However – he didn’t make a first team appearance for the Iron despite having spent time out on loan back with Conference sides York City and Kidderminster Harriers

This can throw his signing by Nigel Adkins into doubt – alongside with the former Iron boss’ judgement.

Good Luck. Hope he finds another club. Hate to see young players leave.

Yeah, and it’s always a massive shame when any signing doesn’t work out.

Hope he does well elsewhere, think the Championship was maybe a step or two too far for them.

Hope they’ll be able to use the extra wages a bit more usefully now though.
