Thankfully Scunthorpe’s survival in League 1 was secured last weekend with the win that we secured as if it wasn’t a crushing defeat a Doncaster on Sunday might have seen things end differently!

Doncaster, who will be disappointed with the final outcome of their season having missed the play-offs, ended by thrashing us five-two at the Keepmoat Stadium.

An early own goal from Canavan (12) got Doncaster up and running with Tyson (33) heading home from a Bennett cross just past the half hour mark to make it two.

It looked like it would be two at the break, but in first half injury-time two became three when Jones (45+2) headed in another for the home side.

The second own goal of the game came early in the second half as we got one back as the ball rebounded off Butler (53) to make it three-one.

Doncaster striker Tyson (74 & 80) successfully converted a couple of penalties to complete his hat-trick to make it five-one before the final say, as we so often have of late with injury-time goals, came our way when Adelakun (90+2) scored a freekick to see it end up five-two.
