Turner On Trial For The Iron

John Turner will play for Scunthorpe’s reserves in the hope of sealing a move to Glanford Park.

The 19-year-old Cambridge United striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Abbey Stadium after playing nine games this season but failing to score.

In total, since making his debut at the age of 17, he has featured in 91 games for the Us in which time he has scored 12 goals.

He has already failed to interest Rushden & Diamonds who chose not to sign him following a trial.
