Scunthorpe picked up a potentially huge three-points on Good Friday with a win at Glanford Park against play-off hopefuls Peterborough, as we won for the first time in 10-matches to help boost our survival hopes.

A goal in either half was enough to see us through to a two-nil win.

With half time within sight, and a goalless half on, our top goalscorer Madden (40) does what he’s done so often this season, scored! When we box is loose in the box he doesn’t need asking twice and he took this chance after it dropped to him.

All three-points were secured with a little over 15-minutes to play as Doncaster loanee Robinson (73) made it two in two since his loan arrival – Peterborough’s best chances came to Bostwick, who couldn’t take them.

This win gives a little, but not much, breathing space away from the bottom four as we opened up a three-point gap whereas Posh are now four-points off the play-offs….
