The Iron have so far had a quite transfer window regarding players coming in.
The first of our arrivals was Bobby Grant.The 19 years old midfielder, come striker has 65 league appearances and 15 League goals to his name.Born in Litherland, England on July 1, 1990 with a Height of 5 foot 11 inches (1.80 m) Grant was the second youngest footballer to play in the football league.
The second, and final of the new arrivals is Chris Dagnall who arrived from Rochdale, for free. The 24 year-old has 195 appearances with 61 goals to his name.Born in Liverpool and with a height of 5 foot 8 inches (1.73 m)A popular nickname for him is ‘Daggers’.
Both Scunthorpe and Charlton expressed interest in signing him. but the irons beat championship rivals, Charlton to the man.And he will hopefully be firing them past the Addicts next season.
So what is in common with the two signings?
Well, firstly both are young so it shows Nigel Adkins is looking for a youth-full squad to face the championship next year. Also, both signings are strikers.And have both proven in the past to be goal scorers.A more obvious similarity is that both came on a free transfer which questions the fact that the chairman/owner is prepared to spend.
